There are 5 ways to advertise at the present time on the SFDA's website.
1.) A full page Sponsor site, which links directly off the Sponsor name in the Sponsor page. (Sponsors Only!)
2.) A 500x250 pixel (@7.5 in. by 3.5 in.) ad on the links page
3.) A 250x250 pixel (@3.5 in. by 3.5 in.) ad on the links page
4.) A 250x75 pixel (@3.5 in. by 1 in.) ad on the links page or main page
5.) A 75x75 pixel (@1 in. by 1 in.) ad on the links page or main page
The costs for said pages/links/ads are as follows:
1.) = A one time development fee of $75, includes site design, digital photos ($ goes to webmaster)
plus $200/yr after that includes changes to page 2 per season. ($ goes to SFDA)
2.) = $20/mo. or $200/yr. (all money goes to SFDA)
3.) = $15/mo. or $120/yr. (all money goes to SFDA)
4.) = $10/mo. or $100/yr. on links page or $20/mo. or $200/yr on main page (all money goes to SFDA)
5.) = $5/mo. or $40/yr. on links page or $10/mo. or $80/yr on main page (all money goes to SFDA)
Only the 250x75 and the 75x75 are allowed on the main page. A total of 5 ads of this size may appear on the main page or a combination of the 250x75 and 75x75 ads.
If there becomes a time when there are more then 5 advertisers who wish an ad on the main page, there will be a "rotation of ads" where every time you enter the home page it will randomly select the 5 ads. All ads will then get equal use.
We can scan artwork or business cards in or create them from scratch.
We gladly accept digital artwork and prefer it! But...
We also can photograph store fronts or items or even you, Digitally! (only if you reside in the Bay Area)
We can also host a 'full page' Ad which will link from either our links page or home page. (Email for prices)
Banners may be animated, provided they do not exceed the banner weight limit.
Currently the weight limit is as follows:
500x250 - 50k
250x250 - 25k
250x75 - 12k
75x75 - 5k |
If you are unsure what exactly is the banner weight, you can get a pretty good idea by right clicking on the above banners and then clicking on properties, the weight is shown as size = lets say 26832 bytes, well 1,000 bytes is 1k, so this amount would be aproximately 27k. (just move your decimal place to the left 3 places) - I rounded my weight up (26.832) - Pretty easy!!!
Remember we will always put up a requested dart related link,
as long as A.) We find it appropriate and B.) It is something our viewers will benefit by
Here's the most common reason a dart related link would not make it to our links page. Your site is either cumbersome to get around or you sell dart accessories, but not in the Bay Area.
If you are one of those sites, please do not be offended, just contact our webmaster for details on how to re-build your site in order to provide a better viewer experience.
Thanks and happy darting!
