| Still waiting to hear from volunteers for Rebuilding Together Project (X'mas in April),
It would be nice to hear from people who could help: wash woodwork, light carpentry, some electric, painting.
Call me please. We will be working Saturday April 21st (prep day) and Saturday April 28th. Its for a good cause.
Thanks for the birthday dinner up at the Biltmore Shoot. What a great time, 2 days of darts and gambling (my new get rich quick scheme ... ha!) Playoffs coming soon, what great competition, looks like some positions won't be decided till last week of the season. Don't forget our April Awards on the 22nd! Food and Darts, plus our Trohy Presentaion. Forest City Lodge, 254 Laguna Honda Blvd. I'd like to thank Ron Mathews for taking over the rankings. I know everyone likes to see where they stand. And also to Tom O for getting us there. If your on-line lets get some feedback. Robert put this together for us lets use it. May your darts fly straight and true, "El Presidente", Jim Banta |

| Over 20 Members of the SFDA descended upon Tahoe at the Biltmore Casino in Nevada this past weekend.
The Amateur Cricket Singles event, held over the weekend, run by Bob and Maggie Martell of the WCDO and NCDA.
There were around 80 participants ensuring an $800 first place award! The atmosphere was cozy as the surroundings provided by the Biltmore included a huge stone fireplace and a giant copper one near the 6 board. I had not been to one of these events in 2 years, but was pleasantly suprised to see some familiar faces in the crowd. Made alot of new friends! And I'm trying to get into schedule which would allow me to participate (and practice) on a regular basis, just had plain ol' fun! Well down to the nitty gritty: Making it to the suprisingly high cutoff number of 19 wins over 4 groups of 5 persons each, playing a total of 2 games against each person in that group, (8 wins possible in 1 group, 32 would be perfect, over the course of the weekend) Now remembering that woman without ADO points get a 5 mark lead, cough cough, upto the final 32 only. The reason I cough a bit, is that I, yes, the webmaster, lost only to 2 people 2 straight losses, one was Tina Clarke, (wife of Dave Clarke who happened to have ADO points and could not participate)(phew) She had 2 great games and I did not have the darts to combat her great throwing skills. The other person who got me 2 straight losses was none other then Gretel Flores of the SFDA. Her game was strong people, what can I say, she didn't even get 5 marks through out the event due to her having a few ADO points! Of the 23 members that attended, 10 members made it into the top 32, Gretel Flores, Ray Flores, David Hoag, Les Swift, Bowie Castillo, Abner Gaerlan, Robert Adams, Ron Mathews, Paulo Cleofe, Rafael Gaglione, Brian Coleman, Rey Novicio and Mark Walls. After the 32 played off, there were 6 SFDA members remaining, Gretel, Ray, Abner, Les, Paulo and Ron going on to the top 16! After the next elimantions, 5 members went forward to the top 8, Gretel, Ray, Les, Paulo and Ron. David Quirey took Gretel out, while Paulo bumped Les and Ron winning over his opponent. Congratulations to David Quirey and Ron Mathews for their 3rd/4th place finish! And cheers to Sid for his 2nd place win! Mainly a large hurrah! For Paulo Cleofe for his difinitive 3 straight wins over Sid for his first place victory! As a side note, a high five goes out to Lois Downs, who at only 18 wins, just missed the top 32, (she won all 8 of her games on Sundays last group!) Keep it up Lois! |

| For the past 7 years, our president, Jim Banta, has been a job captain for Christmas in April,
(April 29th), as a member of the S.F. Elks Lodge #3. This has been Jim's chance to give something back to the
community, along with having a great time to work side-by-side with his sons, Justin and Michael and improve the
life of those they've done projects for. About 20-30 people gather with the help of building suppliers and paint stores and others! Usually they select an elderly person, on a fixed income, who is unable to do basic maintenance for themselves. Last year they put in handrails, painted 5 rooms, put new linolium in the kitchen, installed smoke detectors, dead bolts, new doors, fixed her dryer and cleared her garage. All in ONE day! This 77-year-old widow was estatic! jim would like to see the SFDA get involved with projects like this. If you are interested in helping, call Jim at 781-SFDA. |

Chris White and Bruce Anderson with 3rd, Abner Gaelan and Bridget O'Donoghue with 4th, Robert Adams and John O'Leary with 5th, all in the money spots. Congratulations! |

Good luck Frank! - As a side note - The Webmaster played in Frank's Flight at Craig Lehmans 4th of July BBQ Shoot last year and came " - that - " close to knocking him out in a match! ... almost ... he he:-) |
